How to refinance your current mortgage ?

Dear all ! ,

I need some help in finding out whether to refinance my mortgage or not !

I've visited the sites of many banks already and i just don't seem to be able to input all the data needed for them to make a proposition online :-( !

I currently have a mortgage at Fortis Bank , the formula chosen was steady monthly payments over a time span of 20 years !

I also informed for a refinance at banks like Dexia , ING Bank , Axa Bank and some others !

But , i did so for over a year ago , and at that time they didn't seem to be able to beat my current mortgage rate !

I realise that mortgage loans have gone up a bit in the past year and that differences between the top banks will not be that great !

If anybody has any experiance with refinancing his mortgage , please feel free to e-mail me or leave a post on this matter !

In effect i'm looking for the best refinancing opportunity available at this moment , but i don't know , if you can only do that within your own country or if you can go to banks abroad also !

And if it were possible to consolidate 2 different loans into one loan !

If anyone has any information to share from his own experiance or knowledge , please let me know , so i can figure out what to do !
